Do I need to install an app to scan?
No. The scanner is a view built directly into the Notory web app and runs in the browser on your smartphone or computer - no download, no app store. A dedicated native mobile app is planned for the future, but is not yet available.
What can I scan and which devices work?
Any modern smartphone or computer with a webcam whose browser supports native barcode detection. Common barcode and QR formats are detected live via the camera, with no extra scanning hardware needed.
Which plan includes the scanner?
The scanner is already included from Starter, the cheapest plan. Unlike provisioning, reporting, monitoring, or SSO, it is not an upgrade to a higher tier - it is there from day one.
